This cookbook is a must have in every kitchen. It’s filled with recipes that are healthy, and will please just about anyone’s taste. It has recipes we all love, but in new, innovative ways to lighten the dishes, keep it healthy, and enjoy it.
This is a great cookbook! I’d compare it to most in the Cooking Light series. She doesn’t use too many ‘fake’ ingredients. They’re pretty family -friendly, and while some are more involved, many come together in 45 minutes or less. Standouts for me were the soup chapter and snacks – and the enchiladas.
It gives full nutrition information, and the hints are helpful. This is a really great, useful book.
I have cooked 6 recipes so far and they have not disappointed. My husband has not suspected that he is eating lighter versions. Recipes are very tasty and turn out looking like their pictures.
The recipes in this book are all healthy, and absolutely delicious. I absolutely love this cookbook
I have to say, I am a little disappointed in this cookbook. Don’t get me wrong – it’s a gorgeous book, lots of photos and healthy recipes. But they are recipes I doubt I will ever make. There are plenty of recipes that look delicious and that I think my daughter and I will enjoy, but I don’t see myself spending that much effort on cooking. In short, if you love to spend time in the kitchen using lots of ingredients for a dish, this is the cookbook for you. If you are looking for quick and healthy meals, pass this one up.
I generally like Gina’s blog and the recipes she posts, but for some reason the cookbook doesn’t appeal. I did not find anything that I wanted to cook immediately. Usually with a new cookbook, I am running to the grocery store eager to try a new dish. I was going to get copies for my daughters for Christmas, but after ordering it for myself, no.
