Positive Experiences

  • They look great. They’re also much larger than I expected, although that’s not a bad thing.
  • These feel like extremely high-quality items, and they also don’t impart any metallic taste that I can detect. They seem very well-made.
  • Sounds good. Let’s see how well it works.

 Negative Experiences

  • This is a very clever idea. The physics is sound, but there is something wrong with the implementation and it’s grossly overpriced
  • It’s an elegant principle. Sadly, it doesn’t work in practice. Well, the physics works, of course, but the effect is so small that is it not worth the price or the inconvenience of having a bunch of noisy little rocks in my thermos.
  • These DO NOT WORK. I used it in my insulated travel mug, and although it does cool the coffee quickly, in my heated car was unpalatably cool in 40 minutes. I tried pre-heating the mug with hot water, which seemed to help, until I discovered that the coffee stayed just as hot with the mug preheated WITHOUTH the joulies. Plus, they take up almost half the space in the mug and make it heavy. Very disappointed. I would not feel so bad had I not wasted so much money on these!
